Toybox Garage was born out of necessity. While co-founding Sunshine Imports, a JDM import business, Mattie Huntingdon worked on countless kei trucks, Land Cruisers, and other Japanese classics. One issue came up again and again: a shortage of mechanics who understood these vehicles—and shops willing to put in the hard work of sourcing rare parts from overseas.
Toybox was built to fill that gap: a place in Austin offering quick, professional service tailored to JDM gems.
But service is only part of the story. With a background in mechanical engineering, sculpture, and high-end construction, Mattie brings together precision, problem-solving, and creativity.
